Trying vitex. Anyone else?

I have been dealing with irregular cycles for about 3 years now. I just found out I have a (functional) cyst on my right ovary and I am hoping that taking vitex will help the cyst go away and regulate the excessive estrogen which caused the cyst, and help us to get pregnant soon. anyone else tried it successfully?

I had regular cycles but suffered with painful cysts. Also had cramping and breast pain out of sync with my cycle. I went to my doctor numerous times over it as we were also trying to conceive. They figured all of it was hormone related and suggested birth control pills for a few months. I wanted something natural and went to my midwife for her opinion. She suggested I try vitex, cautioning me though, that it could disrupt my cycle. I decided to take it anyway. Within a few days, no more breast pain or cramping. My cycle did change but only in length, I went from a 29 day cycle to a 26. I conceived 9 months after starting it. :) That was back in 2011. The only cyst I experienced after was a larger than usual corpus luteum cyst when I got pregnant again the following year. I was told it would shrink on its own and it did. Haven't had an issue since.

I'm happy with my vitex experience and I plan to use it again after this little one is born. If you decide to try it, I sure hope you find it helpful. :)

I have been taking it for 3 cycles and I also had a cyst on my ovary. It ruptured yesterday and I was in the ER. It has delayed my ovulation by a week now (I'm on cd20 today) 
Not sure if it was the vitex that caused it to rupture or not but figured i would let you know my experience so far!!

Trying vitex. Anyone else?
