You don’t even need a mask if you get good quality paint. Valspar from lows has low or even voc free paint. Just open the windows.

We used Valspar paint with the low VHC and no odor. It didn’t even smell at all. They’re also considered safe for pregnancy. I left windows open just to be safe.

Yes I opened all windows out the fan on and got the safest paint recommend, I also wore a mask ontop of that and took breaks every 10-20 minutes to get some fresh air
