Cot from day one?

Would you put your newborn straight into a cot from the hospital??

I plan to have our baby in his crib from day one. We do have a glider type thing in our bedroom just in case we feel we need it, but the plan it to have the crib used. It’s why we have it

I have put 2 out of my 5 kids straight into a cot. Nothing wrong with it at all.

We'll use the crib for daytime naps from day one, and a portable bassinet next to the bed overnight just until he's feeding less frequently.
I think it's more about where the crib is located though, our doctor recommends the baby sleep in our room for the first six months bc there is a lower risk of SIDS.

I did a bassinet for the first two week. I was losing sleep because every noise my daughter made woke me up so we moved her to her room. She's honestly been the best sleeper! I'm a lite nervous for my son.

Using a Moses basket which will be next to my bed for at least six months and ill bring it into the living room if I’m spending time downstairs
