Skip prenatal every other day ?

My morning sickness is very bad. And I take my prenatal at night, but I always wake up in the middle of the night throwing up. Is it bad to skip taking my prenatal every other day ?

Instead of skipping it you should try switching it, I have a sensitive stomach and this is the only vitamin that hasn't upset my tummy. It's really healthy for you and baby too because it's a whole food vitamin and that makes it easier for your body to absorb the nutrients

Nope perfectly fine unless maybe your having twins? With my first I could take prenatals fine. Now With my second I had to switch to gummies, I take one in the morning and one at night because the pills were making me throw up. I was also told to try taking my pill at different times of the day first to see if it helped but it didnt. The gummies seem to be working perfectly!!!

I take mine every 3 days with one day off because there's too much iron in them for me to have regular bowel movements. This was approved by my OB though, so I'd check with them first.

I don't take mine everyday and my midwife said its fine. I have hypermesis gravidarum.

Some people try taking them last thing at night instead-do you're asleep during the nauseous phase. Sons ladies recommend the funnies ones instead.

Thank you ladies so much. I don't know what I would do without this app! I think I'm going to switch my prenatals. But I haven't seen an ob yet so I'll wait until I meet with them an ask what brand would be best for me

Have your OB switch your prenatal.  That was happening to me at first because my over the counter prenatal had regular release iron.  I was switched to one with slow release iron and had no problems after that!

I wouldn't skip,unless you have a perfect diet,if not then the vitamins help.

My doc said if my morning sickness gets bad and I can't keep my prenatals down, to stop taking them and to resume taking them once morning sickness isn't as much of an issue. He said that the baby is going to take all the nutrients from you anyway.
