Personal lubricant affecting fertility??!

Question

We have been trying for 13 months for a second child (our first was conceived first try) monitoring my regular periods, and doing everything right, but using KY Jelly. I just discovered today that this can prevent conception by damaging the sperm! 
​I'm going to try Pre-Seed lubricant instead, as this is apparently fertility friendly.
​Has anyone else heard about this issue?

Yes I've heard. We started using pre seed this month and its great.  You really don't need much so just be careful. Works awesome though hoping it will help me conceive soon :)

Hi there! I work at an Adult Shop, and most lubes found in our store ARE sperm friendly. However, KY, Wet, and those found in regular stores are NOT! If you're looking for a good lube, try Erosense Aqua by Sensuva. It's ph balanced, water based (slick, but doesn't have silicone, won't stain sheets, and doesn't need to be frequently applied.) :) it's also cruelty free, paraban free, glycerin free, and vegan. Another would be JO H2O water based. ( essentially, any and most water based are ok)

Thank you ladies, I'm so annoyed, I really think we've lost a whole year trying, as we both test fine with no apparent reason to not fall pregnant, fingers crossed this month.

Yes!! Use pre-seed or other natural ingredients posted below! But I was shocked to find out that saliva can also kill off sperm! So stay clear of that too! Good Luck!!

Yes! Most lubricants are not sperm friendly. Pre-seed is the best option. DH and I just started using it and I love it!!

This is extremely common and if you use often can have the opposite affect to what you want. Normal lubricant has the wrong Ph levels and can kill sperm.  Definitely give preseed a try but you can also use fresh egg whites or canola oil as a natural alternative
