When to find out about pregnancy

How early can you find out your pregnant? Or is it best to wait until after your period?

I feel it's best to wait until after you have missed your period. I didn't get a positive test until my period was completely late, after testing a few days before my period was due and getting a clear negative - when I went to the doctors to have it confirmed I was 6-7 weeks. Some women get positives later than others so as far as hpt go, it's better to wait a little longer for a more accurate result.

It’s best to wait after a missed period, but, I did get a positive with my second a week before my period was due. With my first though I didn’t show positive until I was 6 days late for my period.

You’re least likely to get a false negative after you’ve missed your period. A lot depends on when you ovulate/implant as to when you’ll get a positive test. Also, some pregnancy tests are more sensitive than others. A day or two before your missed period is likely to be fairly accurate though, because it’s just hard to wait sometimes!!!
