My 8 year old daughter's father has had nothing to do with her since she was a few months old. His name isn't on her birth certificate, he's never tried to get custody of her, and never gave me more than $20 in child support (not court ordered). I married my husband when my daughter was 4 years old and he wants to adopt her. Just wondering if any of you have been in a similar situation and how hard the whole process was.
