When did your periods stop after IUD insertion?

I've had my IUD for nearly 8 months now and my period is late by a day, so I'm wondering if they'll stop by now. My bf and I have protected sex and the last time we did, we had it a few days are ovulation and I know for sure the condoms have not broken and he always pulls out before ejaculation. Just a curious statistic thing I've never seemed to find a common answer for!
