Small baby and a placenta with an extra lobe

Cassie

I went in for the routine anatomy scan, I was 21 weeks. Baby's development is perfect, his organs and most of his physical development is right on point 😁🙏 but he was measuring about 18 weeks, so 3 weeks smaller than he should be 😮

They also found that my placenta had grown an extra lobe also called an "accessory" lobe or "succenturiate" lobe.

This is my third pregnancy and everything was "normal" in my other two, so I'm pretty worried about my little guy. Has this happen to anyone else, small baby, extra lobe, both??

*edit

They will be doing growth ultrasounds at every visit until birth and I have an ultrasound with a specialist to check out my placenta on the 3rd of May
