She’s here!

I had a scheduled induction and my OB broke my water to get labor going. I was only 4cm and 70% at 9:30am. I bounced on a birthing ball from the beginning to get things moving.. By 1:30pm I had only progressed to 5cm. I opted to get started on the lowest dose of Pitocin to jump start my contractions. By 5:45 the contractions were starting to get much stronger and coming very fast. I was 7cm and completely thinned. I decided to keep laboring by bouncing on a birthing ball and laying across the end of the bed. By 6:10 I felt the urge to push with every contraction. I was 9cm and the nurse ran to get my OB. When the OB got into the room I was already at 10cm and ready to push. At 6:45, as my baby girl had her head and shoulders out, my OB let me deliver the rest of my baby girl. What a feeling of being able to reach down and deliver my baby girl!! She was born naturally with no pain medication or epidural.

Let me tell you Mamas it hurts like hell, felt like my pelvis was being broken in half. But I would do it all over again to relive that euphoric moment when my daughter was born. 💗
