What do you count as cd1?

Do you count spotting as cd1? Or late night bleeding?

Cd1 is supposed to be the first day of full bleeding

My clinic told me that it is full red flow before 6pm, if it is later than 6pm then count the next day as CD1

When I discussed this with my fertility doctor he said spotting didn't count. Hope that helps.
